Make your own Star Wars-game on the AmigaOne:-)
« on: February 13, 2003, 05:13:51 PM »
Yeah, that would be cool! Making your own Star Wars-game. I hope for a Jedi Knight 3, being even more exciting than the current one, and develop it all on the AmigaOne:-) That would be an neat idea!

How about wonderful deep, emotional music and sound effects, great looking graphic and a whole lot more? High-tech AI-implementation? Why not?

Come on, let go into bedroom-programming again! :-D
Helgis - AMIGA DEFINITELY makes it all possible!!!

Just to make you happy:

10 CLS
20 PRINT"You are closing in on the Death Star's exhaust vent.... what will you do?":PRINT
30 PRINT".1.....USE THE FORCE."
40 PRINT".2.....USE THE TARGETING COMPUTER."
50 GETA$:IFA$=""THENGOTO50
60 IFA$="1"THENGOTO100
70 IFA$="2"THENGOTO200
80 GOTO50
100 CLS
110 PRINT"Well done!!!  You've destroyed the Death Star and saved the Galaxy!!!  You fly back to your rebel base expecting to hump Princess Leia, only to find that she's run off with your best friend, Han Solo!  Fortunately for you, you strike up a lasting relationship with Chewbacca, who turns out to be female and not male after all!  You have 6 healthy kids together who unfortunately look like Ewoks!!!"
120 GOTO300
200 PRINT"Oh bugger - you missed!!!  Strewth, you couldn't hit a barn door with a bazooka at 10 yards!!!  The Imperial forces destroy all rebel craft and then the Death Star vaporises the rebel base.  You get captured by an Imperial Cruser and you are forced to become the Emporer's personal sex-slave."
300 PRINT:PRINT"PLAY AGAIN?"
310 GETA$:IFA$=""THENGOTO310
320 IFA$="Y"ORA$="y"THENRUN
330 IFA$="N"ORA$="n"THENEND
340 GOTO300

I hope this gives you hours of entertainment.  When OS4 is released I will port it to the AmigaOne.  You can pre-order it by sending me $50, or a t-shirt (Amiga Inc only for the t-shirt).  Sorry, no MorphOS version.

change line 200 to line 210

make line 200

200 CLS

Add a line 220

220 GOTO 300

That's rev. 1

then change line 300 to be line 500 and change all GOTO 300's to line 500

you see where I'm going with this...consistent design, plus the ability to add a 3rd choice later...not saying we need a third choice, but people are going to demand an add-on pack.....

Please be sure to document and give me proper credit

Topical joke:

I should point out that "option 3" will only be available on the French and German versions of the game.    :-o

LOL.  I'm starting to think that I'm more likely to get a t-shirt from Genesi before I get one from Amiga Inc.   :-(
