Sad, the ratio has gone down, instead of 4x system number, it's only 2.5x system number, so instantly my A4000D has reduced in potential price to 10,000 instead of 16,000.

Oh how the harsh is the economical bitch?

How'd I miss this one?  An A2000 starting at $5000?  LOL.  :insane:

That price would be in the low ballpark when it was new and being sold to TV stations and video production studios to replace their $60,000 to $100,000 equipment as a turn-key device.

I noticed this seller recently listed a large amount of Amiga hardware and other items:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COMMODORE-AMIGA-VINTAGE-COMPUTER-COMPONENTS-MODEL-2000-KEYBOARD-DRIVE-1-/390698854547?pt=US_Vintage_Computing_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5af7776893

No real commentary as the starting price isn't bad, just I noticed it's all from an estate sale, and I wonder if someday some of the other more common users on this site will just disappear, and the only knowledge we'll have of their passing is when all their gear winds up on a site like ebay?

Oh well, enough moping, you may now return to your regular flame wars. :flame:

Yes but there was an Amiga 1000 (not particularly white) that came with the el cheapo white box from Commodore on ebay UK and I'm not even sure it was 512kb and it went for £300+ US models with the much nicer packaging we selling for not much less than that 10 years ago on ebay USA

As all Amigas get difficult to find the prices will go up. There is an A4000/030 on ebay which doesn't have a HD disk drive inside it for £400 (and it has no A4000 keyboard and is pretty yellowed on plastics).

Sign of the times really.

There is a "erberg2010" selling a "New In Box" 4000/030 for $1200 who wants everyone to believe that the mustard colored from plastics occurred from light that spilled into the box via cracks.
