Yeah, not the same one though, I mean .. it is the same part but I don't think he got it from him :)

Myvbay2009 has had one (or more) for sale for over a year and I have sent several offers but never close enough for him to accept I guess ...

Some day I might break down and offer more or BIN .. but I guess I have enough other projects for now so I am not too worried !

I hate those type of people who think that others are far to stupid as to PAY.
GREED some people over rate what they have, its a sick world we live in.
Ask a reasonable price yes of course but some of the prices are just plain GREEDY.

I don't invest emotionally in the issue.  On the one hand I know that most of these peoples' greed will not be rewarded as reasonable people will ignore the auctions, though there will be a couple of suckers, mostly people of the same caliber as the seller.

On the other hand, I am disappointed to know that some of these people throw tantrums when no one gives into their absurd asking prices and simply destroy the equipment.

Over all, though, people who are not simply delusional and legitimately scam like this do not gain monetary richness and remain morally bankrupt.

Finally some decent prices on 2 modules I needed for 4000T and I totally missed the auctions

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Quickpak-Escom-Amiga-4000T-A-V-Module-Excellent-Working-Condition-A4000T-4000-/271236290209?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item3f26f156a1

Anyone feel pity and want to sell me theirs? :P

You also missed the Quickpak 060 accelerator listed as an A4000T daughterboard for $175 BIN. It lasted about 10 minutes. I bought one of the Commodore A4000 23 pin to 15 pin VGA adapters from him for $20 shipped. I thought about the Quickpak 060 board but I don't need it now and hesitated too long. I hope it went to a good home and not to a hoarder. Wow, I resisted the tempatation to get a spare 060 accelerator for my A4000T that probably would sit in a box for the next 20 years. I guess I'm not really a hoarder. All my Amigas get turned on and used, even if it isn't all that often.

And back to the main theme of this thread, here's another overpriced A4000:

A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

Yeah, I did notice the Quickpak 060 accelerator that got sold also and the tower. Oh well, it's probably for the best :) I should just stop checking Ebay.

It is nice that they included their story though.  A lot of times I wonder where these things came from, but they are over-valuing it a bit based on prices paid 20 years ago.  ;)

Man, I must seem like a luddite sitting happily with my 10Mb connection.  The only time it's a problem for me is when I want to move a multi-GB ISO to a site where I'm working.  It's even worse when I'm on the road and using my 3.6Mb (really 3.0Mb since I access that over Bluetooth) HSDPA connection.

"Collectors only."  Well, I suppose that justifies it.
