Well, this is a bit of a surprise. This eBay seller usually wants the top end of the market for his Amiga gear. This one seem quite reasonable considering you get just about everything you'll need to upgrade a stock A2000 along with the disk and manual for the accelerator.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GVP-68030-22mhz-Accelerator-for-Amiga-2000-2000HD-2500-NewTek-Video-Toaster-/281095516572?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item417299319c

I used to have an A2000 with this accelerator. It was a nice board.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

seems kind of expensive for 22mhz...

how about a Draco :) seems pretty reasonably priced, but I don't know much about them :)

I have one and is not a DRACO, maybe is based on it, but definitely not a DRACO. It doesn't run any Amiga software.

"The Casablanca was designed as a complete video editing solution and was the successor to the Draco with a cheaper price tag of around $3,500. Many models of Casablanca exist, but only the first model or the first few models were clones of the Amiga. Newer models are largely based around PC hardware. It made use of the Amiga's ROMs and operating system with various patches to drive the hardware. The Casablanca probably isn't too practical to run traditional Amiga software because it is a highly integrated device and in fact, may even be largely incompatible with most Amiga software. The Casablanca makes uses of proprietary hardware such as flash cards for updates (to prevent piracy), custom hard drive mechanisms and DVD burners. "

Good performance for only 22MHz, though.  My 25MHz 68030 only does about 7.5x speed of an A600, and 0.90 the speed of an A3000.  This guy's actually beating the A3000 speed by 2%!  ;)

Wonder how he managed that?

I think mine was 40mhz and I had the ram fully populated. I got something like $180 for it. I meant reasonable for this seller, not reasonable in the absolute. Having the original manual and disk adds something to the value but not as much as 3 gvp simms.

Do you remember what these sold for originally?. Most of these GVP boards are good, but the 40MHz and 50MHz 030s have much better RAM options.
I have an '040 version in one of my A2000s. It makes for a very stable machine. I was lucky on the price - about $100.00 for the whole machine....

Yes, that is Roberts Waters' board. I've bought stuff from him over the past couple of years and he is very thorough (OCD?) with his sales. Items are always "good as new" and as complete as he can get them. I guess you pay more for his reputation. You know, "straight shooter, white hat of the old west."

It is a pretty complete package that's well thought out for someone who just has a stock A2000. The CD rom and 4gb scsi drive and cables would cost a bit on eBay. There are lot of sellers that try to get outrageous prices for old drives. Mostly they don't or wait a long time for a buyer. 250mb SCSI zip drives are a good example. Because there is a lot of old Akai and other music gear that can use them, there are usually a lot listed for around $70-$100. The same drives keep getting relisted. I've bought 2 over the last few years and I paid around $30 shipped for each of them. Now that eBay has a sold listings tab, I see that most that have actually been sold have gone for $20-$40 and the overpriced ones do sell but not all that often. It can take a bit of patience to find a good SCSI drive for a reasonable price on eBay. I used to get them from old Macs from our recycling center but now they won't let us local people take the abandoned hardware people leave there and instead send them to an electronics recycler that pretty much does the same thing with pulled parts. They aren't on eBay but they try to sell stuff like an old AT power supplies for outrageous prices on their website. I did get a good supply of SCSI drives and 72 pin simms while it lasted.

Well there's a bunch of Commodore PETs going for $755 each at the moment:

I like the way he calls them "rare" when he's selling 6 of them.

He's got a nice C128 too for $750:

and then there's this one which, while not expensive, is enough to make you think WTF?  I just hope this was a case of trying to refurbish a badly damaged case:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Commodore-pet-BLACK-4008-n-/121094102653?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item1c31c55e7d

Brand new, unopened VIC-20:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COMMODORE-VIC-20-COMPUTER-first-edition-BRAND-NEW-PRISTINE-box-pow-PET-keys-64-/300894651751?pt=US_Vintage_Computing_Parts_Accessories&hash=item460eb80567

This is kinda awesome, but personally I think seller is selling themselves short.  Maybe they could get $9100 for it like that unopened A1000 went for a few days ago!  ;)
