A big "Thank You"!
Will test it as soon as I have access to my Miggy again...

Keyfile arrived - thank you!
Last night I gave it a try, but got this error message:
"cDropBoxHandler: :auth() curl_easy_perform() failed: Error".
What can be the reason for this?
Due to my ISP switching to "secure E-Mail" in April 2014 I couldn't access my E-Mail account with my Amiga any longer.
Furthermore my XP-PC here in Cologne broke last year in spring, and so I had no more access to my account here in Cologne at all.
Due to health problems I had neither the time, nor the money to replace it.
This year in March my XP-PC at my "main home" (I'm a commuter) in Waldbröl also stopped working and was the first to be replaced with a Win7 box. When I re-installed DropBox on it, DB sent an E-Mail-address-confirmation mail to my Cologne E-Mail account, which was unaccessible.
Last night I tried the YAM 2.10 developer Version on my Amiga 4000 with CyberstormPPC (060@50mHz/604e@200mHz - 128 mB; OS3.9 & BBs I&II/WarpOS 16.1) - et voila - I can access my mail account again with my Amiga!
There I found the "adress-confirmation-mail" for my DropBox account. As on the Amiga my most modern browser currently is IBrowse 2.4, I had to confirm my account here at work, which I just did successfully.
Could the reason for the error message of the Amiga DropBox handler be the unconfirmed E-Mail address?
I will test it tonight and come back to you...

Hmm lots of awesome news. How is that Google print handler coming that would really be cool to be able to print to cloud or to net printer.

Norbet Kett replied to me via E-Mail:

Hello,
On 68060's, the 'dropbox-handler_102e.68k' and 'google-drive-handler_102e.68k' handlers should be used.

As I copied the entire 'Cloud' folder to my Devs: like the readme stated, all handlers are there.
So there must be a way to choose a specific handler from the given set.
I assumed I would have to change the mountlist for this and asked Norbert Kett again:
Original by Dandy:
Hello Norbert,
I was just wondering how to use the 102e.68k handlers instead of the .68k handlers.
Do you mean I have to edit the related mountlist and change the entry there from e.g.
GOOGLE:
Handler = Devs:Google/google-drive-handler
Stacksize = 4096
Priority = 5
GlobVec = -1
#
to
GOOGLE:
Handler = Devs:Google/google-drive-handler_102e.68k

Hello,
Yes. You can select the specific handler in the mountlist. :)

TenLeftFingers has prepared a great tutorial on how to install Dropbox/Google Drive handlers.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x51yshg_install-dropbox-on-amiga-os3-1_tech
-
It includes AOS 3, AOS 4, AROS and MorphOS in one archive.
Developer was very quick in responding with a keyfile once I decided to register. Its the best piece of software Ive purchased for my V600 :)
-
just beautiful to have this for our 68k miggies:hammer::pint:
trying to get this going just now and when I enter list DBOX: in the shell I get "NO TCP/IP stack running" popup??? I was already online before entering the command in the shell?
-
One question i have is why is it so slow in downloading from Dropbox or google drive ?

i'll be happy just to be able to access my dropbox on my Amiga...i've for no problem waiting for the data to cross over as long as it gets there :-)
-
It does get there, no problem at all but a bit slow.
Think I'm spoiled, got use to over 1 MB/sec transfer speeds over my internal network with A600+vamp2 ;)
-
@ PPC
lucky guy:) I'm on the waiting list for a while and hoping to get my Vampire by 2020 at this rate
@ all
anybody that has the dropbox handler working on 68k have/had same issue ??
-
I just want to add an A600 to my collection, it is one of only a couple models I haven't owned yet.
-
Anyone ever write one for OwnCloud?

ping...anyone else getting when entering "list DBOX:" from shell :confused:
I can go online and I can ping my router from shell so I obviously have a TCP/IP stack running :whack:

bump:hammer:

Quick, guess but maybe you need a different version of the bsdsocket.library.
The OS3.9 version is 4.42 and this one works with the Amiga cloud handlers.

funny I know I have it but I can't find it??
from the interwebs "The bsdsocket.library is not a disk based library - it is created in memory when an Amiga TCP stack such as EasyNet successfully goes online."
so being 'ram' based where can I tell which version I have??

Start sysinfo and check the libraries that are loaded in memory (the version is also displayed)
In my libs dir there is a lib bsdsocket.library

ah ok thanks! I had to startup Easynet 1st to go online then I could see bsdsocket.library in SysInfo and mine is v3.28 so where can I get v4.42 ??
-
ok so bought Roadshow and no problems anymore with finding TCP/IP stack:hammer:
BUT of course now there is another error message "cDropBoxHandler: :auth() curl_easy_perform() failed: Error". couldn't resolve host anme"???
I already tried what Dandy did earlier in the thread as I have an 060 on board but still same thing..getting closer but :rant::flak:
-
well finally got here going now:hammer: Roadshow did the trick & it's a nice little speed boost too! also had to remember to disable AmiTCP & Easynet in my user start-up...amazing to access my drop dropbox files to my Amiga 4000:)

Norbert says that the keyfile.jpg (or keyfile.dat) has to be renamed simply as "keyfile"(no extension), and copied in devs:cloud.
IT WORKS!!!! Excellent program!!!
Hope this infos are useful to you.
:pint: :dance wow I had a long email thread with Norbert and yet problem solved once again on amiga forums (here and amiga.org) so cheers to us the community yet again :-D
@ Sir_Lucas & Norbert

It would be a miracle if DropBox could preserve file attributes - because the Amiga attributes are rather non-standard, and all what dropbox does is to keep the file contents, nothing else.

so if I send a jpf file over to may Amiga how do i get AmigaOS3.9 to recognize that transferred file as a jpg file and same goes for lha file etc. ???:confused::confused::confused:

You seem confused. File attributes are the protection bits (hparwed). The file *contents* should be preserved or something is borken. Datatypes on the amiga only care about the contents of the file - but that is not an attribute.
Thus, if you *download* a file from the dropbox account, and this file *is not* identical to what you uploaded, something is wrong. Probably the dropbox handler. Or dropbox is doing something smart with images.

yes very very confused:insane: all i know is that 'something' is wrong and that all files I'm sending to my Amiga 4000 lately via DropBox I can't do anything with on the Amiga side:confused::confused::confused:

can't find this on aminet anymore ?
ah never mind was searching for DropBox but it's called 'AmigaCloudHandlers'
here's the aminet link http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/AmigaCloudHandlers (http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/AmigaCloudHandlers)
