Amiga classic Flashback now on iPhone
Hi Conrad. You may be wondering how you recorded this message without remembering it
Product: Flashback | Developer: Manomio | Genre: Platform, Retro
by Spanner Spencer

Well this one crept up on us a bit. Unless, of course, we've actually played this game before on the iPhone, then lost our memory of it and this new listing is simply a recording we made earlier and left for ourselves to find?

Yeah, that's the most reasonable explanation, given as the Pocket Gamer team love the hell out of Delphine Software's classic Amiga/Mega Drive platformer, Flashback.

You step into the beautifully animated shoes of Conrad B. Hart, an agent for the Galaxia Bureau of Investigation and help him to recover his wiped memory. Oh, and save the world from an alien plot.

Evidently this looks like a pretty close adaptation of Flashback as you can see in the video below, and the developer Manomio promises more retro conversions on the iPhone horizon. Eep!

A friend of mine showed me Ports of Call on his iPhone. That was too a perfect conversion in terms of "1:1" look and features.

But with my big fingers the buttons were a bit hard, and I'm not at ease with the way iPhone responds to input.
A posting a day keeps the sanity away...
