No.
it *IS* an original, not a cracked copy and thus it is copy protected

No I do not have a cracked version. I really don't see any major problem with copying such an old game, it's not like it would hurt the current market. However:

1)I really do not have a cracked copy.
2)This site's policy does not allow the trading of pirate software of any form, reguardless of age. So myself being a moderator would forbid me even if I had a cracked version.
3)I would not know how to crack anything myself.

I do have all 4 disks, I just checked. If really want it badly enough I could sell it to you cheap. How about $5 + postage? I was just about to start my auctions again anyhow, and this would have been on them.

@AmigaBlitter

if you have to ask on  here then you have not looked hard enough,

Amiga games new/old are so easy to find on the web, you can even download new amiga games a day after they are released :-D  :-D .

And even a student could afford the one game released each month (in a _good_ month).

From the ever-so-nice warez folks, who take joy in logging IPs to attack, spreading virii, and generally making a it bad day for everyone involved.

If you download software that is still on sale, you are a thief. And although many believe that downloading "old games" isn't so much of a crime, look closely enough and you'll find many are still actually on sale somewhere.

Get a life, paul_gadd.

Get a life???? You really need to get a life with all your anti warez broken record crap, isnt it very SAD how you people constantly  moan about amiga warez but are happy to use other warez on other platforms, warez is warez full stop.

as for my other comment i was telling the guy to LOOK on the net instead of asking for warez on this site which is frowned upon.

I'm with you Paul, KennyR is really a broken record. I think I mentioned this before, but here goes: KennyR, are you really saying you have NO nor you have had ANY mp3's on your computer or any kind of illegal software ever? Gimme a break...lame...

Ps. I'm not condoling working Amiga into ground at all, in fact everyone should contribute to anything Amiga, but this game he's asking for is vapor and has no more ties to Amiga that we currently all support. Person offering it for 5 dollars is a pretty good deal too if you are really wanting the game.  :-D

What's SAD is the number of programmers who now refuse to develop
software for the Amiga, in full or in part, because not only do you
take some form of joy in the fact that it's easy to steal the work of
others, but you fail to acknowledge any harm at all.

Amazing. Truely amazing. :whack:

All my software is bought and paid for, and if I want to listen to music, I get the CD. For those warez boys out there who want to know how they can do the same - get a job.

I think, really, your best bet is to buy it off red'....

$5 + shipping isn't bad, and that way, you have the real original for your collection.  I've done this numerous times with C64 games, and I no longer use a C64, at all...

Now, as an aside, once you get that original, see about making a backup of it for history's sake.  It seems to be a fairly rare title, as I can find only a bare minimal information on it, and don't have it in my own collection.

If I had a copy, I'd offer it, as I'd hardly call it piracy when there's probably only about 5 copies left in existance.  If you don't believe me, do a google on it... It's gotta be pretty rare, when the highest ranked relevant hit was an interview with Rob Northern (who copy protected the disk!)  (While I've used Google to track down such classics as C64 Presidential Campaign (by Timeworks), which isn't even mentioned on any C64 preservation site I've ever seen...)

At this point, it's PRESERVATION, not piracy...  C'mon.  I'm against piracy, but I'm more against losing history here.  Let's gain a perspective.

You are so noble aren't you. If you think anyone believes your comp is totally clean and your cd collection is and it ALWAYS was free of illegal mp3s from begining you are insane. EVERYTHING YOU HAVE OR HAVE EVER HAD IS LEGAL (go beyond media files and software)??? yeah right :-o again hypocrite you are...

He's right. I even found Settlers (the original, well that was the only one made for Amiga anyhows :)) and got it runn'n on WinUAE, but with my PII 233, its a tad slow, thats right, i need more memmory.

Anyhow, if you use www.google.com you should eventualy come accross it. If its not on there, you havnt got much chance of ever finding it. So give google a try. I use it for all my project research at work and anything else interesting.

You're missing the point entirely. I'm not the one who's:

· Abusing Amiga.org to spread illegal ROMS and ADF files. This isn't a GiMmE R0Mz site for emulamers. Go elsewhere!

· Denying that ANY KIND OF piracy is theft; copyright laws are quite clear.

· And worse of them all, denying that piracy damages the Amiga.

Want the hell do you want from me? To admit that piracy isn't wrong just to salve your dirty consciences?

I bought all my software and I'm proud of it. If you want to steal, go ahead, just don't use Amiga.org for it or try to criticise others who actually have the balls to pay for their own stuff.

Whether or not people have warez, MP3's or whatever on their machines is incidental; the fact of the matter is it's not meant to be promoted here.
So FFS BAN ANYONE promoting it.

Im with KennyR here, but then I spose you all expect me to be. Im not going to say I dont have any pirate software on my machines or that I dont have mp3's because I do. But I can honestly say I dont have and never have had any pirate amiga software, even
back in its day I never got any illegal games, and those disks i was given with amiga's I've bought over the years that contained pirate stuff got formatted or thrown. Its one thing to pirate on a platform that has the money to survive it but its another when its
being done on a platform thats struggling to stay alive.

Sigh... If you really want this game take up on Red's offer.. It sounds like a bargain for such a hard to find thus rare game...

And from Google;

Info (http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&threadm=729.641T310T10894113angus%40angusm_ANTISPEM_.demon.co.uk&rnum=2&prev=/groups%3Fq%3Damiga%2Bgame%2B%2522The%2Bkrystal%2522%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26selm%3D729.641T310T10894113angus%2540angusm_ANTISPEM_.demon.co.uk%26rnum%3D2)

more (http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=amiga+game+%22The+krystal%22&sa=N&tab=wg)

And that's just the first try in finding info about this game, it may not be correct, but dig deeper if you must..

Well, can't say, I don't have any mp3's becouse I do, but I've bought many CD's simply becouse I liked few (illegal) mp3's I heard.

But in some cases, I might have only mp3 versions, like

a) If the CD is really old, and impossible to get as new, only possibility to get it would be finding it second hand (The artist wouldn't be getting any of that money anyway) if you're very lucky.

b) CD's, that are released only in Playback Pro... Sorry, I meant to say COPY protected versions. Why should I pay for something, if the record company doesn't want me to be able to listen to it anyway?

Original CD doesn't work - mp3's do. I really hate that, but that's the way it is.

Well you are a little late. The game I offered at the time has since went on eBay and sold.

Here it is. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2066560341)

Watch eBay, you'll likely see one there eventually.
