That sucks dude! My 867MHz 12" powerbook is like a tank. It's dented in a lot of spots, the connector for the left speaker is busted. One day i climbed on my desk to get a wire behind the cube wall and ended up laying on my powerbook, hyperextending the screen. Now the screen assembly is bent and the LCD is kind of floating around in there. I'm missing keys on my keyboard, ive spilled a 32oz coke on the machine and had to leave the machine upside down for a day or two. Corroded a few wires in the keyboard assembly, i had to take a pair of pliers to pop all thoes little plastic rivits, used a conductive pen to fix the traces, then i took my soldering iron and some plastic from the front case of a busted pc to redo the rivits on the keyboard... My cdr/dvd combodrive broke, i had to pull the mother board to remove it, i lost the metal cover where the memory expansion is, i used a large sitcker to cover that up.
And i carry it around everyday. Many screws have fallen out, it works great, it keeps on trucking. I think i just got lucky. I'm sure now that ive written this, it will blow up tomorrow.
