My main used computer is my Amithlon/OS3.9 machine. I love OS3.x, the d.i.y. nature of it and the tens o thousands of apps, commodities, etc. available to customise your system and know it inside out. For all thier advantages none of the NG options come close in volume and/or quality(minus a few exceptions) of software. Coupled with more raw grunt (besides aros) than any of the NG options and Im a happy man.

My A1200 is probably neyxt in line. For similar reasons to why Im so fond of my amithlon box, but the other side of the coin. Seeing what results can be obtained from such (comparitively) limited resources is a lot of fun. Not to mention years and years of commercially developed software that runs better than on any emullator (when custom chipsets are involved) and the 68k Amigas have lost little of thier charm.

Next inline is AROS. Put simply no NG system can compete when it comes to things like 3d gaming, watching videos, etc. If it needs raw grunt AROS is my choice.

Next in line is MOS. The most polished of the Amiga based systems, and quite impressive in it's own right, but for me these things actually contribute to why (besides os4) I have the least interest in it for amiga based systems. A ready to go system loses some of its charm for me. Give me a tiny base to work from that I can build my own system around instead anyday, and despite being quite efficient for the hardware its running on (for me a 1.42ghz mac mini) it simply cant compete with my AROS box (core2duo@4.1ghz/gf 9600gt) for gaming or video. This is all for my tastes/needs, Im not disputing that MOS is a nice system, so those inclined please refrain from the usual typical outrage.

And last but not least I have a Windows box/multimedia system in the lounge, connected to my t.v that controls my entertainment system. Core i7-2600k + gf570gtx. No system comes close to Windows for gaming and media centric stuff, so to use it as a host to my media centre was a no brainer. I also use this machine to browse via a virtual machine with windows installed (I'll be damned if Im letting the main install get corrupted by going online with it).
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.
