About lords of the rising sun
« on: November 19, 2015, 10:53:03 PM »
Hi:

I am interested in acquiring original disks for lords of the rising sun by cinemaware.
I can afford to get it as a christmas gift :)
my question is, can I play this game with a mouse, or do you need a joystick ?
My amiga joystick port is occupied by the dongle for brilliance (paint package).
If possible, I would like to never remove the dongle, and reserve my amiga
for animation and painting, including brilliance.
If lords of the rising sun can be played with the mouse, then I can easily
play it.
Please help me !!!

Good news, looking at the manual for LotRS over on LemonAmiga, the requirements for the Amiga game is a mouse.

To confirm this is likely the control for the game, I see commends in the game that require pressing left, right or both buttons. Joysticks on Amigas generally only have one. So I believe you are good.

Now the bad news, I don't have the disks so I guess I can't send you a Christmas present

Try Ebay, there is a boxed copy guaranteed working for £15.95, which sounds reasonable or discs only for £6.99!

Hi:

Thank you for your replies.
I can ask my mom to buy me the game for christmas.
I bought amiga game in ebay before, from amiga heaven.
He has the game on ebay. The price is steep, but the
game is tested working.

I like to buy the real boxed versions of my favourite games too. Just seems the right thing to do to. I always wait for a perfect one on ebay, then I buy (usually at extortionate prices). Nice to have the proper manuals and disks though.
