How is this a question for A-eon ?

To grab Trevor attention,  maybe A-eon can look into development for a steam client for NG Amiga.  After all no point having a new machine with no games to play on it.

How is a Steam client is supposed to help that?
This is just like television, only you can see much further.

Cant wait for a steam client to run on OS 4 so I can run Fallout 4 before its release.  Surely the x1000 will be plenty to run any steam games.  With a steam client all half life 2 games and unity developed games will instantly work without all that extra coding.

Good question.
In any case, I don't use Steam on my x64 systems (I'm not a big gamer), so it isn't that important to me.

Now an NG port of Blender? That would get my attention.

here ya Igster;)http://www.broad.ology.org.uk/amiga/blender/

thank broadblues when ya see him!

It's obvious that he thinks that the only thing stopping the games from running on AmigaOS is the lack of Steam client. You could have explained that Steam client is just a distribution system and each of the actual games would have to be ported. Although porting the source engine would put you in a similar position to Linux.

Yep, I downloaded that a little while ago.
Yomgui's work especially on the latest version of Python, is damned impressive.

As to the OS4 version, I won't be adverse to trying it if I do go forward with the idea of purchasing an X5000.

Contrary to the popular opinion I may have inadvertently helped encourage, I actually do support NG OS' and PPC systems.

I am guilty of over reacting (just a little) about the announcement of Tabor's specs. :hammer:
