Flyer and CF drives
« on: March 08, 2013, 04:40:02 PM »
Well I managed to pick up 3 Acard SCSI to IDE cards cheap and bought 3 18 inch SCSI cables and 3 IDE to CF adapters and 3 Kingston 16GB 45Mbs/s CF cards and molex power splitters :)

So I will put the SCSI drives on the side for now and if CF works will sell the SCSI drives

I will let you know how it works!

I've got all of those parts sitting here and shamefully have not put them to use yet. Maybe hearing how yours works out will inspire me to stop being so lazy.

That should probably work. Just be aware of the limited write cycles on CF cards. You've already got the SCSI-to-IDE adapters, so the hard part is over - you can connect just about anything now :)

Any chance the place you bought the adapters from has more at that price? ;)
