Lemon and sugar is pretty common. Along with sliced banana, cream, jam, chocolate, fruit salad.... Ice cream...

This stuff is also good too... http://www.easiyo.com/easiyo-products/fruit-squirt-toppings.html

I'm upset that French Toast with Butter, Peanut Butter, and Syrup was not an option.

Has amiga.org lost pancakes.org? I felt that must of been one them odd Internet moments if you browsering the web for pancakes and come across some geeky amiga base site, people must of been thinking WTF!

Thank you for enlightening me :)
Everything else you mention sounds pretty standard to this yank's palette, but the sharpness of lemon struck me as such a departure that I wanted to find out more.

The sharpness of the lemon offsets the sweetness. Probably my fav is just lemon juice.

You can get a lemon called lemonade which is nice too, really sweet. Sweeter than an orange.

Proper pancakes are think, flat and have no sugar in them - the ones shown above are pikelets, or dropped scones...

The best, THE BEST way to serve pancakes, is with a moderately thin spread of Lyles Golden Syrup (only the best will do!), then sprinkled with lemon juice...

Man, I'm drooling just thinking about it!

Mike.
