EUAE file permissions problem?
« on: October 08, 2012, 10:38:25 PM »
I tried to get euae going on linux mint, I copied roms and dirs from amiga forever. to an amiga directory in my home folder /home/steven/Amiga

When I start EUAE, os3.x works and loads but I can not save anything. Aparently the files were copied with read only flag on them. I tried to set the file permissions to read and write in linux, but I'm still getting this error, for example when I try to save screenmode prefs :

Error in file ENVARC : Sys/screenmode.prefs file is write protected.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Linux gets on my nerves sometimes

I'm sure its some kinda read/write permission problem, but so far no luck fixing it.

Anyone with any suggestions, I'd sincerely appreciate it. I'd like to get this going and copy my amiga software collection on to this system, which will be my main machine.

Steven

Never mind... Fixed it, screenmode.prefs in sys was not flagged as writable. flagged it with icon info and now it works... YAY.
