I have a Subway USB Controller installed in my A1200 with the wires going out of the open port in the back.  I also have a Blizzard 1230 MkIV accelerator (64 MB RAM).  How would I install the Indivision 1200 AGA MkII in my A1200?  Thanks.  BTW, it is not towered, it is in its original case.

You will have to mod the case and either move the usb connectons to the modded location (recommended) or you can remove the rf modulator and use that space?

Thanks. That's a great idea since I don't use the rf modulator.

Yes we are still working towards that release date.

What kind of shipping does that include to the USA for those that pre-ordered?

I know I got a NOS US keyboard and that came quickly fedEX i believe and even before that i ordered something and that came USPS 3 weeks later. Both were shipped around the same time.

Just thinking in this case i may want to upgrade the shipping for peace of mind and maybe some other people might consider doing the same. Also the USPS misrouted my last big Amiga purchase and it was lost for over a week. It was a 1260 and it traveled half way around the planet to be lost several miles away from its destination. :)

thanks!

Super news, and cheers for keeping us updated.  I've had an A1200 here crammed into a 2U rack case for some time, only thing keeping me from putting it into daily service is the lack of a good Flickerfixer, so I'll be buying one of these the moment they are released.

I had an order in with Amigakit a few months back with a part I really needed for a project. It took over 3 weeks to get the package :( Maybe 4

Looking good, I should order one right now!

Actually come to think of if, I already did :)

The future firmware updates are the most interesting part....can anyone say chunky modes.
Life begins at 100 MIPS!

Nice Ports on AmiNet!

the specs also say "16 MBytes framebuffer, entirely addressable"

to me that means the possibility of maybe a p96 driver like on the ECS. who knows maybe even better. I wonder if that is really 16MB or 1.6

edit. i'm thinking it has to be 16 as some quick math says 1.6 could not hold a interlaced superhirez 24bit image.

hope i get it before my vacation.

The ECS indivision is very different from the aga version. Just because there is a buffer doesnt necessarily mean you can accomplish the same driver.

btw i'm sure its 16mb not 1.6

An RTG driver would of course be awesome but nobody knows if this is possible or not yet.

What we *should* get though are some better AGA WB modes (higher resolution/better refresh rate) and hopefully some chunky modes which can be used for games development.

i hear ya. I agree it has to be 16 as 1.6 because 1.6 would not hold some of the video modes in 24bit. just 16MB seems massive in amiga terms.

I'm just wanting to hear more about "entirely addressable"

i'll be happy with it regardless.

I'll be happy with it just the speedup i'll get by switching to interlace mode. Anything else is just a bonus :)

People criticize AGA for being too slow which it is, in multiscan mode, but I actually get 1.x quadra mac video speed in Shapeshifter if i run in interlace mode... just i don't want to stair at the screen, so I don't think it was that far behind Apple's video hardware of the time.
