BYTE magazine returns
« on: December 24, 2010, 01:59:50 PM »
Byte magazine had many articles about the Amiga over the years and the Amiga even made it to the front cover.

Byte will be launched in the second quarter of 2011.

Will the new byte magazine be anything like the old (highy technical, and in depth etc)? From what I have read, the only thing it might share is the name, but hope to be proved wrong.

I was thinking the exact same thing.  It seems that the original writers moved on to other projects but let's see, time will tell if the new Byte is any good.  I am definitely excited, and I will try it out.

When I saw on their web site that Gina Smith was going to be the head honcho I had no clue about who she was. Amazon web site doesn't really reveal anything about this lady. On ginasmith.com she writes about two books she has written: 'iWOZ: How I invented the Personal Computer and had fun doing it, New York Times Best Seller cowrote with Steve Wozniak'
and
'The Genomics Age: How DNA Technology Is Transforming the Way We Live and Who We Are, Barron's Top 10 book of the year in 2005'

Those two titles seems rather impressive to me so bring it on Byte.

Hoping it would come back as an IPad only mag?
