Amiga 25th Anniversary animation project completed
« on: November 22, 2010, 09:43:14 PM »
It can be found here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNR5vxAR22A

All graphics created with Amiga and Pegasos/MorphOS systems (though there is a Mac in there for editing and video handling). It's another tribute to the Amiga and all the awesome visual works created with its help, featuring clips from several classic Amiga animations, games, and demos.

Hopefully more entertaining than watching another version of Doomy singing, anyway.

@EWS

Looks great! I'm glad more people are creating 25th Anniversary things... I created this little animation a while back, it's the first serious 3D anim i've ever made... admittedly it's wasn't on the Amiga, and definitely not as good as yours!:

Amiga Boing Demo 25th Anniversary

It's supposed to something that could be used as a video into etc.

Anyway, thanks for your work, and keep it up! :) :D
Machines:

could tell us a bit more about this? what was the peg/morphos system used for exactly and what has been done on classics? maybe a short "how-its-made" video?:)
the video parts on the the singer amiga's screen was added with final cut or with an amiga software?

after this production do you think that an amiga system could be used for creating entire video productiions from scratch and the only thing is missing is a final cut-like video editor? or did you use amigas only coz its the amiga tribute video and you would never use such a setup again?:)

thx in advance!

Well done great video!
But Doomy's effort stands on it's own.

That was fricking GREAT work Eric. I don't know how you find the time :-)

Plus, it's nice to see that it's all produced on Amiga/MorphOS (aside from some video editing on MacOS).

Thanks also for the final dedication in the credits ;-)

Is there an mp4 or avi version of this animation available ?  I think there was one for the earlier "Still Alive" tribute.

So sad, a past her prime singer in a karaoke bar singing of past glory...

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.
