Ed: hence also 356x200, LoRes non-laced.

I realise that the mathematics might look a little involved but, trust me, it's worth it.

But those are not the target display, which was for 16:9 (both LoRes and HiRes suggestions use "square" pixels). What are their physical measurements, so that one might correct for the aspect ratios if one should care that much? ;)
