If the minimig mimicks the a500 perfectly, should this be possible to piggyback on the 68k of the minimig?

Whats causing it not to work on the minimig?

The CPU on the minimig is in a different package than it is on the 500 or 2000 (or 1000).

Also a different voltage.

It doesnt.

No.

1)Voltage (IDE = 5v, MiniMig = 3.3v)

2)Missing Signals, this board needs more than 68k signals. You would have to recompile minimig to bring extra signals from unused I/O pins, assuming similar functionality even exists.

3)Why would you want to? MiniMig has a mass storage device (the MMC/SD card) it is only a matter of time before it can be used as a hard drive just by uploading a new PIC firmware and MiniMig build.

The parts will probably arrive during this week.
I will make deals and accept payments now, and ship the boards as soon as possible, probably this week. In case the "mail-order" parts dont arrive in time, I'll buy some parts from local electronics shops, in order to make sure that the buyer should not have to wait too long.

I have also three pcs of IDE-cable to CF-card socket adapters to sell with the IDE adapters with combined price of 50 euros including shipping the lowest cost way (standard letter post.)
IDE adapter 45 euros including shipping.

The prices include a brief test for each part (booting from an amiga formatted CF-card in IDE-mode), but it's best to have some disclaimer: absolute guarantee that your unique data will be safe using the IDE adapters is not given, so you should always back-up anything valuable.

I'm also selling some PS2M mouse adapters completed&tested for 10 euros each.

From the euro-payment area i'd prefer to receive bank transfers using my IBAN&BIC account numbers. I have also a paypal-account.

If interested, please send e-mail to: mika.leinonen@tut.fi

In the original A500 case there isn't much clearance under the keyboard, so it may be necessary to solder the cpu directly to the adapter board. (No space for both a socket and the cpu, in the front of the adapter board, where the keyboards comes lowest.) (I typed a few words about this on the www-page as well.)

is this all I would need ? I mean your adaptor + a PS2 mouse...do I need any extra hardware/soldering and/or do I need to install any software ? Would a scroll wheel work ?

About the scroll wheel see the software from the PS2M author:
http://aminet.net/search?readme=ps2m
I have been too lazy to test it myself, but if I haven't made any errors on the PCB, scroll wheel will work with that driver and a short cable from the pin header to Amiga's second joystick port. The cable can be made from ribbon cable and insulation displacement connectors (D9F and a 10-pin IDC-female connector.)

To emulate a normal Amiga mouse, no drivers are needed, the microcontroller emulates an amiga mouse. The adapter is soldered and tested.

There are still a few ide boards for sale.
Completed boards for 40 euros + shipping.

World wide shipping for 7 euros. Up to 250 grams, no tracking or insurance, priority airmail letter.
To Europe: 5 euros. With these prices, I can send packages that are over 30 mm in height, which gives more room for padding material than cheaper options where max height is 30 mm.

Mouse adapter price is 10 euros + shipping, 1 euros to Europe, to World for 1.40 euros, priority airmail 20..50 grams, typical delivery time is around one week (but not guarenteed).

Please be patient.

I have not managed to assemble the boards as fast as I thought, I have only sent 2 of 8 boards sold. I hope I will get most of the remaining shipments on their way by next week.

If someone who has bought a board from me, and doesn't mind waiting (about one more week), and wants a DIP-64 68HC000-16 chip soldered directly on board, can send e-mail to mika.leinonen@tut.fi Also the remaining boards are for sale.

For the remaining boards not yet sold, I'll also offer the 68HC000 chip already soldered directly on board. I don't anymore take payments until each board is ready to ship to the buyer.

2nd run. There will be around 20 pcs for sale. Pricing the same, 40 euros. Or buy two and get a ps/2 mouse adapter for free. :pint:

This is a great project and well worth the money, thank you for continuing development on it! Please put me down on the list if you decide to make the version with ram. I have two of the first run and I would be interested in at least one and possibly two of those.
