WTD: Video Toaster 2000 Software
« on: April 28, 2007, 01:00:31 PM »
I have a Video Toaster 2000 but I have no software and manuals for it. Does anyone have them available? I am not 100% sure if the Toaster is working so I'm not looking at laying out megabucks...

You realise the Toaster is NTSC and the UK's tv standard is PAL? :-?

I'm not sure how uptodate this is...

Ahh nice. Thanks for the link :)

I know about the PAL/NTSC thing, I can get around that. Thanks for the heads-up all the same :)

I bet dollars to doughnuts you could just ask NewTek for it. (The software, that is.)
Back away from the EU-SSR!

I have an extra copy of the Video Toaster 2.0 software and manuals. 1 three ring binder and 14 floppy disks. I am thinking about listing it on Ebay soon but haven't gotten around to it yet. Due to the weight of the Manual, the shipping cost to the UK from the US will be rather high but the high pound to dollar exchange rate might make this less painful if you want them. I don't think that that there are that many toasters in the UK so you might have to import the manuals and software from the US anyway.
This software would give you the basic Toaster functionality. Versions 3.1 and 4.2 are also compatible with the Toaster 2000--I currently have all of them installed and working together in an Amiga 2000 toaster--and each has it enhancements and flavors. The 4.2 version has the best and and most advanced versions of Toaster Paint and Lightwave 3d but  Toaster 2.0 really rocks for live video switching and processing.

I was thinking of about $60us + shipping as the price and Paypal is the only payment option from outside the US. I will include a backup CD of adf files of the 14 floppies just in case of one of these ancient floppies fails. I am new to the Amiga.org forum but am a solid Ebayer with 100 positive feedback.
A2500 owned since 1993 with A2630/DKB 2632, DKB Megachip, GVP EGS Spectrum, A2320 and GVP HC+8 on the inside and a DCTV on the outside. A4000D with CSPPC, Cybervision 64 and a Flicker Magic flicker fixer. A4000T Toaster Flyer & CSMKII. All systems completly retro and classic and mostly used to do geometic art as in my avatar.

The disks and Manual are still available. The original poster of this thread has priorty if he's interested. I haven't gotten around to imaging the floppies--this is for my own backup purposes as well as testing the floppies. I should do this sometime next week. Payment by paypal is preferable to me and if I get several offers, the first one that uses paypal will get them unless it's the original poster who asked for them in the first place. The shipping weight is about 3 lbs which means about $25-30 to Europe and $3-10 within the US depending on how fast you want them shipped.
