an easily editable drum machine...
« on: September 22, 2006, 01:18:28 AM »
taking advantage of that I have a little free time I it would like to prove some software that provides a easily editable drum machine and with presets. I am playing a little with the guitar and I look for something that does not generate any complication to me.

something there?

the idea is something easily editable like the 909 drum machine that you can use with (PC)rebirth software from propellerhead

Thx!

sounds like you need a sequencer with a drum sound attached... or a midget with a drum kit.

OMG the Prophet64 looks amazing! When I had a C64 I was dying to use it to make music and get those classic SID sounds, but I found it so confusing. The Prophet64 could be just what I'm after! Gonna buy a new C64 just for the Prophet64 :-D

Do you think it would work with the DTV Hummer game, which includes a User Port?

I've posted on the C64 DTV forum to see if anyone has used a Prophet64 with the DTV Hummer game. If it works, I'm going to build a mini C64 synth/sequencer box :-D :-D :-D

In the meantime, you might want to give Cybertracker a try.

Just had this reply on the DTV Hacking forum:

"as far as i know no one has ben able to use a cartridge on the hummer or a mouse"

So looks like no portable SID tracker for now :-( Still, I'm gonna invest in a C64 ready for when the Prophet64 is back in stock :-D

OctaMED can be used as a simple drum machine.
It looks a bit complicated at first but it's pretty easy to set up a basic pattern.

If you have OS4, there's a dedicated drum machine prog for it on OS4 depot but I haven't used it much so can't say how good it is.
