Index Information = Elbox?????
« on: April 21, 2005, 12:11:13 AM »
When I run showconfig on my A1200 which has an Elbox FastATA3 and an Elbox Mediator 1200 it says I have 2 devices made by Index Information Ltd!

Correct me if I'm wrong but ain't Index Information the people who made the BoXer and the Access clones?

Is Elbox just a new name for Index Information?  Does Mick Tinker design the Elbox hardware?

I'm confused. :-?

So, if Elbox!=Index Information, then why do two of their best selling products identify themselves as being manufactured by Index Information Ltd?

Can anyone else with Elbox hardware confirm this weird occurance?

Elbox's devices identify themselves as (for example) manufacturer 0x1234, and ShowConfig was written to associate that manufacturer ID with Index Information, Ltd. Does anyone have the last published list of registered Zorro manufacturer IDs?
