Okay. Given the diverse nature of people here, someone might know where I can get a replacement for a beloved audio cd of mine that went missing over the process of a couple of moves.
Actually it's my fave.

I'm looking for...wait for it....

The B-52's (self titled). The first album. I've still got cosmic thing and good stuff, but I can't find the first one   :-(

I'm glad I ogg'ed it, but it's just not the same.

Go the ROCK LOBSTER!

Maybe here?

The one seller listed does claim it's a special order, though.

Amazon (in the US) lists it for US$11, it's probably not that much of a rarity over here...  Half.com gets down to like US$2.50 for used copies...  (But good luck convincing anyone to ship to you directly.)

Ouch. Not a nice CD to lose - it's very hard to find any B52s stuff on CD.

Keep trying ebay and Amazon auctions. Here in the UK there's a site called cow.co.uk that often has hard to find cds on. ATM they have some B52s stuff, but not their first album :(

I just checked the B-52s at Apple's U.S. iTunes store.  You can get the first cd and most of the rest via download.

Alrighty. You've all given me a few good places to look. Thanks. Never even thought of Amazon to be honest.

not a nice cd to lose at all.

Yeah, I figured that this album was close enough to being an amiga item as a person can get without actually _being_ an amiga item.

...now i'm listening to depeche mode. Sleep deprivation can do weird things to a persons brain. For some reason I only like depeche when I'm tired and/or drunk.

I'll have a look at the sites listed if I can grab a few hours sleep first.

All the CDs that I want are always hard to find. I found all the 'Air' albums in a pack recently for $30 but I didn't have the cash. Grrrrr.

Anyway, baxk on topic; I must replace my precious CD!

I recently got round to ripping all my Depeche Mode collection...  It took an embarassingly long time, but I think they still are my favourite band of all time: I just keep returning to the music, and loving it even more.
Celebrating 21... no, make that 27... years of Amiga use

Hey Generale,

HMV has the B52's self titled album for sale for $14.00 AUD.

Here

I'd suggest dropping into your local HMV and asking them to order it in, shouldn't cost more than $20 including p & h, etc, if they need to charge it.   :-)

Took me about a week to get my DM collection into MP3... I now have two DM collections...  one at 128Kbps which is about a gig... and one at 192Kbps which is huge...

:is listening to "barrel of a gun" right now.

HMV, eh? anyone know one in the northern suburbs of melbourne?

I've got about 20gb of ogg and mp3 right now. And Amy probably has the same. We both like music, just not the same music.

I'm thinking of the Rammstein cover of 'stripped' right now.
heh. AFAIK I have every rammstein track. including barbie girl.
