installing wb1.3 on a HD
« on: October 30, 2002, 11:22:15 AM »
I got a A590 harddisk, wich i recently formatted (the previous owner had too much stuff like databases wich alter system configurations etcetera, so I decided to format it), but now I do not know how to install WB1.3.

Install the drive then just copy WB manually from the floppy.  There's no installer for 1.3 afaik.

I tried, but it wouldn't boot.
But now you say that, I remembered that I was forgotten to alter the commands in the startup-sequence from DF0: to DH0:
So I'll try that thanks for the tip  :crazy:

On A2000 I just copied the WB1.3 disk and it worked just fine. I didn't need to modify start-up sequence.

Does it depent on how disk is formated (FFS)? I formated disk with WB2.1 (but I don't think there is a difference).

@Speelgoedmannetje

Altijd leuk, neerlandse aliassen  ;-)

Anyway, there should be 2 disks that came with the A590, a RAM test disk and a Setup Disk. IIRC the setup disks contains HD-Toolbox for OS1.3 to partition the A590, and maybe an installer to set OS1.3 on the HD.. Still have both disks, unfortunalty only the RAM test still works so I can't check to see if my memory isn't failing.. (Ironic in a way.. My memory failing and having a RAM test disk) :-o

Haven't been using Imagin for a long time, so no more 3D rendering ever since :-(, no more strange spaceships..

Go here and near the bottom there is a link you can try..
