I've written a GUI toolkit library for the PC version of BlitzBasic, which allows PC users to build AmigaOS style interfaces :-), I plan to release it as soon as I've written some documentation.

-Edit- If someone wants to write the docs for me I wouldn't turn them down :-D

Blitz never died, Bernd Roesch is still polishing and improving AmiBlitz. Updates never seem to get mentioned outside of the mailing list, so most people tend to think it died years ago.
Although thesedays I`ve been using PureBasic (written by an ex-Blitz user/library developer) a lot more than Blitz, cos I can write 90% of stuff on the PC, and just do an occassional compile on the Amiga to check things are still working OK.
The only thing I can`t test on the Win32 version of PB is inlined 68k asm  :-x
