Title: Broadcaster 32 and Broadcaster Elite
Post by: SteveD on March 04, 2010, 06:51:43 AM
I'm wondering if there's anyone here who used either the Digital Broadcaster 32 or Broadcaster Elite cards from Digital Micronics/Applied Magic.  These were M-JPEG non-linear cards with supplied timeline software, similar to the V-Lab Motion except it appears they had the potential to capture at a higher data rate nearing 6MB/sec.  They were also similar to V-Lab Motion insofar as requiring a 16-bit sound card.

I'm wondering what users thought of this system and how it compares to V-Lab Motion and Movieshop.

It's also interesting to me that both companies started on Amiga and went on to produce stand-alone editing devices, Casablanca for Macrosystems and Screenplay from Applied Magic.
