Title: Games and cyberstorm MK III 060
Post by: Acill on December 11, 2002, 12:18:08 PM
I know a lot of games wont run on an 060 amga (older ones) but I was wondering if there is a way to make them more compatable?  I used to use Skick on my 030 before to boot into 1.3 but the MK III does not like it and refuses to boot if used. Turning off the CPU caches works for some things, but not a lot. I guess I am looking for a utility that will let me boot KS1.3 on the MK III with no problems? Does one exist?

The best way is to install them onto your HD with WHDLoad. Most of the installers have pretty good fixes for modern Amigas, and not only that, you can usually quit back to workbench!

I was wanting to use WHDload at one time, but it seemed a pain in the arse to set up. Is it any better then it was a few years ago? Alo where can I get it from?

www.whdload.de (http://www.whdload.de)

Its really not difficult. You install WHDLoad, then download the slave for whatever game you want to install, then unarchive it and click "Install". It'll prompt you for disks etc.
