Post by: KAi on December 06, 2008, 06:42:16 PM
Hi there,

I also have for sale a few CPUs I don't need.
They were sold to me as working but I have not tested them personally. If they turn out to be faulty I will refund you.

Available are

[d]1x MC68EC060RC75  (Mask 75G59Y)[/d] GONE
[d]1x XC68EC060RC66E (Mask 02G59Y)[/d] GONE
[d]1x XC68LC060RC50E (Mask 02G59Y)[/d] GONE

I am located in Guildford (UK) but will ship worldwide at cost. Please make me an offer!

Cheers,
Kai

PS: This is NOT going on eBay but if you want to check my feeback then look for beavis77.

Hi there: excuse my ignorance, but are these ok to make upgrade of an accelerator card, from 040 to 060? (of course i have to do other fixings, i know) just wanted to know if they are ok for that

Thanks!

Sebastian

You should realise that EC in the part number means the chip does not have the FPU or MMU, while LC means it does not have the MMU.

Note for all of them.  Each accel is different though.  For instance none of these will work on TekMagic060.
Never get a cpu without FPU/MMU for amiga as its slower.
We can get XC68060RC50 (FPU/MMU in them) but they are not cheap, plus we run a business so they would not be given away at charity prices.

When I bought these I also got an XC68EC060 with working MMU/FPU to upgrade my CS MKII. As far as I know these CPUs have no MMU/FPU (EC) or MMU only (LC).

Therefore I am not expecting much for them so make me an offer!

XC68060RC50 are cheap! They normally coming at 38USD price.

MC68060RC50 mask EJ41 are a different matter, as they are the latest revision, run cool even at insane 80Mhz clocks!

@rkauer

Depends where you get them from.  From ebay, sold by chinese?  If so then these are 100% recycled, not new, don't forget to mention "unknown origin/use" before you buy it (sold as is).  Feel free to let everyone know where you can get XC68060RC50 today at prices you mention.  :-?

MC68060RC50 $373
MC68060RC60 $525
XC68060RC50 no longer available/no longer manufactured
http://www.freescale.com/webapp/search/MainSERP.jsp?SelectedAsset=Orderable%20Parts
from freescale.
By the way thats considerably higher than for what we can offer XC68060RC50, which is what was found on most Amiga Accel boards back in the day.  We can sell a XC68060RC50 cpu for $100-125
 :-P

$100 isn't too bad for NOS, but the XC rated chips don't overclock as well. $38 for a recycled one is reasonable if the seller has a good history.

if you want the fastest 68k overclocked card its a Blizzard PPC,clocked @83.66 Mhz. at this speed you will not be able to use the Bvision and 50ns simms is mandatory as well as 5v reading on the card.

if it reads 4.9v it may not work.

NOTE: not all 50ns simms will work at the above speed most will fail.
