Title: Does anyone know where I can get NewIcons 4.1?

I am trying to find NewIcons 4.1, becuase I think that this is the latest version that can run on WB2.04.

Can anyone help me locate this program? Aminet only has v4.6.

I did a few quick searches on the 'Net, but came up with nothing.  When I get home from work, I'll check a few backup tapes I have, some CD-R's and CD-RW's.  Not guaranteeing anything though because I likely deleted it long ago.

I cant think of any reason at all why NewIcons 4.6 wont work on wb2.04.

as i recall it should only have a 16 colours limitation.

I tired it earlier and the installer says that it need WB3.0 or greater :(

Were you able to find a copy yet?  If not, I found it on my A1200 and could get it up for you to download.

Try the NewIcons Home Page (http://www.amiganet.org/NewIcons/).  I can't access the site right now but I can assure you it was up and running two to three weeks ago.  You may find what your looking for there.  So keep trying.

I don't understand why the author of the website makes the previous version available, especially in your case where the newer version requires a higher version of AmigaOS.

PS: Email me a copy of 4.1 to put away.

Did you try emailing the author for a copy?

Thanks Skippy  the compliment.  I'm putting alot of effort to try and make it one of the top 10 Amiga websites on the net.  I'll make this promise I'm not going anywhere!!!  And I'm not going to be happy until I have 2000+ links cataloged.  PLUS I still have  a few surprises up my sleaves!!   As always..
