I know I said I would try to be there, but after doing some price checking it looks like its just going to cost too much for me at my present rate of income :-( Pity because the show is shaping up to be a really good event.

I could always hope to the win the lottery or sommat though... :-)

Perhaps hitchhiking Ryu :-?. Though you'd need to calculate quite some time to get there....and it'll be expensive anyway I guess.....food/roof or tent over your head....

Thanks Kees, Ryu and Amiga.org for putting our banner up, it's appreciated!! :)

@Ryu :
Btw, if you're really lucky, one of the organisers has a room for ya. I've got 5 people, so it's full at my place. Well worth checking up on, though!

These are interesting times we live in. New machines in progress, new AmigaOS in progress.. userbase slowly, slowly growing..  which is a success in itself.

yup already checked out Ryan Air... problem being even if I could get a cheap flight, I would still need to get to the airport, which is something like £60 return... bumping it to £100, then I would need a good £50 spending money and a place to stay. I would say at the very cheapest it would cost me £200 to get to the show... about the same as it cost me to attend the BAS show, unfortunatly I dont have that money that I had last year :-(

I thought about being ubber cheaky and setting up a "donate £1" thing to see how far I get, but I guess in the present situation it would only be torn apart as me robbing from the community or sommat... and I doubt id get that many donations anyway.... still, looks like I will be able to afford to get to newcastle in a week or 2's time :-)
