Hello,
I have about a dozen Amiga 500 computers I need to get rid of.

I don't have the energy or time to ship them. I also have 2 Amiga 1000s and a bunch of various equipment.

If you or any of your friends live in the Montreal (Quebec, Canada) area, just leave me a PM message and I'll arrange a meeting.

I also have a couple of monitors to donate.

Thank you.

@eslapion:

Now you're doing the right thing! I applaud you! :-)
But don't forget to post on Craigslist (it's REALLY easy). If you need help, just ask. And also make sure you give the poor guys some time to come. Be realistic.

Touts les amis d'Amiga: vite vite vite! :-D

(ok, my french is really bad)

I don't want to disappoint you but... your reply is NOT welcome...

Only a week and a half ago you told me I asked for an unreasonable price for my chips at 6$ when every Amiga stores ask for at least 14$ for them... thank you soooooo much for your support.

You also called me a tyrant... Well, I think the tyrant is you... I should give you everything you want at the price you want or else...

Anyways... I hope you got some friends in quebec...

You can't disappoint me, because you're doing the right thing to give someone a chance to grab these, before you trash them.

Now my reply might not be welcomed, but the reason for that is your total lack of understading of what I have written, versus what others have written.

For example the below:

I actually never said your prices were unreasonbale. I actually wrote the OPPOSITE. Read it:  :rtfm:

I didn't direct the comment at your prices or anything like that. In fact I never saw your items (well, until that fellow posted a link, and he made a good point, read it). Going further, I wasn't passing judgement on yours prices, and by the time I saw the link the items were gone (good for you!), but I'd say that if you were asking $10 a chip, it's not so bad (depending on the chip and shipping of course).

I called people who try to "force" things upon others who have no choice tyrants. Obviously you think yourself of one, thus justifying my words.

And a last thing: I wasn't interested in your items, and still I'm not (not because of you, but because you don't have anything that I'm looking for). I sincerely hope some fellow in Quebec picks these items, because they desparetely need a good home.

Bah. I wished I lived in Quebec, I would be very happy to take them from your home and give them a nice place in my house. And I would even pay for them...

Hi Eslapion.  I live in Cornwall about 1.25 hours from you....but I don't get to Montreal much.  Have you considered donating them to Goodwill or some such place?

A1000s seem to fetch good prices on Ebay....you might want to consider that (but you probably already have).

Probably like the individual who posted a "free" (A1000?) a few weeks ago, then when he got a lot of PM's decided to let it go to the "highest bidder" instead of the first person who contacted him...

Very few stay true to their word nowadays.

They're just testing grounds, and when they realize there's interest, they take advantage of people's willingness to pay.  "Free" is today the biggest sales pitch, it seems.
