A2000 and me
A2000 and me
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: This is an A2000 with very old MFM HDD on A2090. I'm not sure if HDD works, it makes funny noise on boot and then Amiga shows standard 'insert disk screen'.
I think there is a RAM expansion inside, too.
Oh and yes, thats me in background..  :-)

Daniele, I bought it second hand from someone in Republika Srpska, IIRC.
So, it was (and still is) somewhat close to Italy.

BTW, I think the keyboard is french.
Thanks for the information about sticker, always wondered what it means..

If that funny noise is like BRBRBRBRBRRBBBBBbbbBEEP then that's perfectly normal for one of those drives on startup.

BTW, amazingly that MFM hard drive is still working fine. Its 5,25" (obviously) with capacity of 40Mb; noisy but cool.

I think you need a boot floppy for the harddrive. Some versions of A2090 do not support autobooting (I think). I have a A2090 that autoboots but the harddrive have been prepped with special boot partition.
