Can't say I know of a source for programming them.

However, i do recall the a530 running hot, and checked the datasheets for the components. The PAL and Mach130 chips have same operating characteristics (good up to ambient 75 degrees centigrade, 125 degrees centigrade maximum operating temperature).

Add a heatsink or two if it makes you happy, the unit tends to shut down when it gets too hot and won't work again until it's cooled down.

I haven't come across any downloads for programming any of them. Perhaps nobody ever tried, you have to desolder them to do that.
