 Are this guy nuking futs?

This is what I call a major rip-off-the-other-guy-spinal-cord!

For this amount I can buy a complete Mediator system, with Voodoo, ethernet, soundblaster, the A1200 itself and maybe a humble accelerator with the change!:insane:
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

Something tells me those are not serious bids. I suspect the auction will get canceled by eBay or something. Just a guess.

Well, if it is real, then we need a new batch of scandoublers so people don't have to get ripped off like that.

The bids look pretty legit, I suggest it went for so much as it is compatible with all Amiga's.

I bet they wouldnt be laughing if there was newer amiga hardware on the horizon. If somebody gathered the data and sent it to Amiga themselves, would they consider producing the hardware at these prices?

That's about 50 Euros these days. Seems a pretty decent price for a scandoubler

These are in fact serious bids....not shill. A friend of mine is the one who sold this item and for some of you to say he's ripping the buyer off is ridiculous. Unless I misunderstood of course..

How was anyone supposed to know that the item would reach that high? Certainly not the seller if that seller is legit. The buyer chose to pay that and he's not the only one seeing as how the next highest bidder is the one who put it that amount. The auction was not canceled and it was in fact fully completed from what I understand.

Has anyone thought that maybe this guy is a developer and wanted the actual item to perhaps build his own design around it? Taking one look at his feedback would suggest so. Perhaps a musician who wanted to take advantage of the productivity screen modes for better sound? Who knows.

I think the price was about right to be honest. Adjusting for current interest in the system of course.

Just my two pence.  :-D

WOW!  Somebody hit the motherload.  I hate to see it happening being a buyer but I think we will only see more and more of this.  I watch EBay most every day and it has been a long time (months and months) since I have seen one of these external flicker-fixers listed.  If several people have been waiting for months and don't want to wait for months more for another one which may also go for a high price, then hold on to your hats and let the bidding begin.  Look at how much the AmigaOne is going for ($2,400), PPC cards (over $1000), Picasso IV ($400-$500).  You used to get an A4000D (barebones) for $200 or a little more.  Now many go for close to $500.  A4000T's were going for $300 to $400 and now are closer to $1000.  Also, all of these people paying high prices for barebones computers are going to be in the market for the add-ons and have already proven that they are not afraid to spend money.  I don't know if we will ever see new hardware such as PPC cards.  They would have to sell new for $800 to $1000 and we are a community that wants to pay $200.  People like Elbox know this.

Dan :-?

With a small modification, THIS will work with an Amiga. I am using one of these with my 128D RGBi output on the 128 Tower project.

If people are that desparate, maybe I should convert a bunch of them and sell them on eBay.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!
