I spoke to Timothy about Radeon SI compatibility at the Amiga 30 UK event and he said it would be looked into, so a big thankyou to Tim and everyone else involved in making this new fixed re-release happen.

I'll be sure to download the update soon.

@Nicsoft

Maybe time to upgrade the video card if you want hardware rendering.

I wonder what this would run like on Vampire hardware.

How well does this run on an '060?

It might struggle without 3D acceleration but there's a demo you can try on Aminet.

In 2011, I just bought one by ACube recommended "de facto standard" card.
Acube had choosen the Radeon HD 4xxx-series as the Sam460ex graphics cards.

Still on their hompage 2017:

My  old PC from 2010 have an old NVIDIA GeForce 210 (512MB) and easily  plays games which are more demanding than AmigaOS4.X games, although it  has less performance than a Radeon HD 4550!

So putting your recommended cards, in a Sam460 would be like a VW Beetle with a 600 HP V8 (overkill)...

With a driver for HD 4xxx cards, one could play all AmigaOS4.X games, without doubt...

I understand where you are coming from and I think most of us expected that there would be 3D support for 4xxx cards but the fact is that there are no drivers planned for these cards because by the time A-EON starting investing in 3D drivers and APIs the world had moved on so it made sense to support the cards that were available at that time.

The R7 240 is supported according to the wiki and it offers similar performance to the the HD4550

Accelerated 2D/3D supported graphic card chipsets

3D driver support on AmigaOS is provided by Warp3D-SI and Warp3D Nova when used with the latest RadeonHD drivers.

*    Radeon HD 77xx-79xx series graphics card (excluding the Radeon HD 7790)
*    Radeon HD R7 240/240D ¹
*    Radeon HD R7 250 ¹
*    Radeon HD R7 250E
*    Radeon HD 250X/265
*    Radeon HD R9 270/270X/280/280X

¹ Oland chipsets require the newer RadeonHD drivers (v1.20 or v2.21) exclusively available from the Enhancer Software Standard or Plus editions

Nice update.
The new demo runs at 120fps in full HD 32bit on my X1000.

Sam FPS here to but at 1200p rather than 1080p.  X1000 + R9 280 @933Mhz.

@Rob

Thanks for the info...
I have (right now) a totally silent Sam460ex system.

With an SSD and the passively cooled:

(Plus a slow completely silent case fan)

So, are there any single slot, passively cooled Warp3D-SI and Warp3D Nova graphics cards, that you/someone can recommend?

None of the passively cooled cards on the market appear to be single slot.
