The lower/upper case for ISO-Latin-1 is easily resolved, and it is language-independent. If bit 5 is set, it is lower case. So it's not quite that simple.

Exactly, so the mystery remains - why is dansk.language so much more elaborate than the others - Danish and Norwegian bokmål (norsk.language) should, aside from a few spelling differences, be identical.

Speaking of Norwegian bokmål locales, any occurrence of "Fortryde" should be replaced with "Avbryt" or "Angre", depending on context.

"Fortryde" is really a Danish word that means "regret" and though it exists in the Norwegian bokmål dictionary, it is a word hardly any Norwegian will understand, and I cannot fathom why the translator would even come up with such a word, unless he is Danish. The Norwegian word for "regret" is "angre" (which is shorter than "fortryde").



(And personally, I would use imperative - "Prøv igjen | Velg annet verktøy | Avbryt")

This is Nowegian bokmål of Workbench prefs.

* The title "Workbench Innstillinger" should be "Workbench-innstillinger" (like in OS 3.9), but really "Innstillinger for Workbench" is better.
* "Gjemte enheter" - "Skjulte enheter" (as in OS 3.9) would be better. ("gjemme" is for many too danish/posh, "gjømme" is more normal, "skjule" is neutral and also works in nynorsk)
* "synlige" should be "synlig" (visible) - each device is a singular, not plural - but better is "vis" (show)
* "gjemte" (not shown above) should be "gjemt" (hidden) - but better is "ikke vis" (don't show), or just "skjul" (hide)
* "Ingen Tittel Felt" should be "Ingen tittelfelt" (no title field), though I would write "Skjul tittellinje" ("hide title line"), or simply "Skjul tittel" (hide title)
* "Ingen Enhetsmåler" should be "Ingen enhetsmåler", though I would write "Skjul enhetsmåler" ("hide unit gauge")
* "Ingen Farge Ikoner" (cringe!) should be "Ingen fargeikoner" (No colour icons) - but really, the matter here is 3.5+ icon format, so "Ingen ColorIcons", just like "Ingen NewIcons"
* "Sett MagicWB Farger" should be "Sett MagicWB-farger"
* "Ramme-Str." should simple be "Rammer", with the options "ingen|liten|middels|stor"
* "Maks Lengde på Filnavn" should be "Maks lengde på filnavn" (where all these capital letters come from - German?)
* "Stack Størrelse" should be "Stack-størrelse"
* "Tastatur Valg Forsinkelse" (huh??) should be "Tastaturvalgforsinkelse", but sheesh - "Pause for tastevalg" is much better and shorter.

Oh, and the two-letter acronym for kilobyte is "kB", not "KB".

It should be easy for anyone to update or make locales that are missing, without having to enter legal contracts.

If he likes to code and wants to use his skills to improve something why would would we, or you in this case, arrogate to personally attack him?

Asking politely for feature got a total refusal, but when we bullied him for it he gave up and and uploaded atapimagic complete with installation instructions. So we can see what the most effective method of interacting with Thomas is.

His ideas might very well be different than mine or yours, that does not make it right to show inapropriate behaviour towards him.

There is no right or wrong in this world beyond what we decide for ourselves. There is no god or any kind of morality innate to the material universe. This fact is what allows for human conflict. Like all human beings I've decided that what's right is what benefits me personally.

Hi, we have a norwegian translator, but I will merge your corrections.

If you have more of these in mind, you are welcome to create a specific thread for them so that this one does not get clogged.

I will merge your corrections from there if they are reported the same way.

The problem with required legal contracts to see and work on the catalog sources is due to the on-going lawsuit.
