Hi,

I didn't really want to reply to this one, but here are some of my comments:

1.) The original post was about an API, not a product.
2.) It is well known for a long time that AE4 (lite) will be shipped with OS4. It seems that MOS is just copying this idea. Don't get me wrong: competition is a very good thing and I wish them luck!
3.) As Genesi can't raise the price for MOS (or at least not too much) although they've included a licensed PSA, and PSA is a 360 euro package, you can ask yourself why AudioLabs has agreed to license it. Rumour has they're porting to PC.. You do the math... :-)

Just to make sure: I think PSA is a good package, and have great respect for Maurizio.

So what?

I found the first public reference about PSA for
MorphOS in December 2001 in an interview with
Ralph Schmidt.  So your point was?

I might have been - (and might still be at some point) - interested in the pro-audio capabilities of the Amiga-one - assuming I can get my next lot of money through so I can afford it - (the £8k I had did't last very long...:-( ).  It would be great if I could use 24/96 resolution, and the automation capabilities of the Amiga in tandem...

As it is now, however, I have a DAW on order (for £2k ) from Millennium-Music in Nottingham, England :-)  (It's going to take 3 weeks for them to build it...:-(  ).

I just hope I can write some decent stuff on it...:-)

PSA IS a dual Processor system, It uses the power PC of the Amiga as well as the 68k for other functions that are NOT so Processor Hungry and has been for well over two years.  Maurizo has been working at this a long time.  He even has functions that hit the x86 when emulating the Amiga on Those High end Emulators.  Bottom Line IS Maurizo is a BAD ASS programer and thinks well ahead of most in Audio, thats why Knowbody in the Amiga Market comes close to his level of Audio excellence.  The work we have done with it at EMRL is a case and point!!!!  IT works, Its Powerful and it does not Crash, at least it has not for me.  Morph audio freaks be warned, you are in for a real treat(-:

My point was about the bundling, not the general availability of a product for the platform. Lighten up! :-)

Wow I'm surprised really  . Someone must be VERY pissed off  :-D. The lag time in windows is really crap from what I've heard. Using a RTOS or equivalente should be the best option for audio work. This means that there might be more potential cusomers than would seem to be at first sight.
By the way is that an exclusive?

P.S. No I'm not a converted MOS user I'm just kinda neutral now.
