Title: GFX-Artist wanted!
Post by: Micha1701 on November 17, 2002, 12:23:58 PM
Hi all!

At this time I´m working on a Civilization Clone for our beloved Amiga. But because I´m only a programmer I need a GFX-Artist.

Is  somebody out ther who has some interesting to make pictures for a game?

Here is a Screenshot of the Mapengine which is nearly completed... (the paintings are all from me (or "stolen")):

For more informations please write at M.Lanser@t-online.de.

Bye!

Hey, looks promising! :-) I love this type of game. I wish I could have helped you out, but my artistic skills are laughable, and my coding skills are minimal in any language except Java. Let me know if you need a tester or someone to comment on the game design, though!

Hope you find someone to help you with the graphics. And I guess you'll want music too. The Amiga needs more strategy games.

@coder:

Hi!

Yes, I need an Artist. Some of the elements actually in my game are lent from different Internet sites....  :-o

And this elements have to change...

And I´m not so good in painting people, houses, tanks....

Hello.

This is looking good. Is this meant for a commercial product or shareware? Is it PPC or 68k?
I would like to help out if its commercial. If the current screen shot is anything to go by it looks
upto the job.

Do you have a website with extra information?

I hope we can take this further.

For a quick suggestion, replace the background image with something a bit more subtle.  Something like this would be a bit better:

I personally don't like these games, but what image format do you need these images in? If it's AGA at the moment, I can't help you I'm afraid. However I could design them in HAM mode and send them to you on disk for conversion. If that's possible.

These sorts of backgrounds are generally built in chucks on an axis aren't they, how big do you require the chunks to be pixel wise?

:-o PM me with details, I'm interested! :-o

Hi mips_proc!

It is commercial...

But, because of the small Amiga market the selled units will not be thousands....
