Title: Anyone up for?
Post by: AmigaFreak on October 07, 2005, 02:16:51 AM
Anyone up for some old style programming? Im looking for someone to team up with to create some kind of game for the older Amigas. I have Amiga Basic 1.3, AMOS (some version) and I know I have C somewhere around here for Amiga. and I have alot of graphics programs.

What do you have in mind?  I have several C/C++ compilers, Blitz Basic, AMOS & AMOS Pro and have wanted to learn programming for a long time.  I have all the books I need and would be open to doing a project with someone to give me the motivation.

I remember AMOS being really good actually. For a first game I would actually recommend it. I owned it back in the day but have since lost it and the manuals.  I may actually be interested in doing some playing with AMOS if I can find it.

I allways loved the old Battletech game for PC, I dont remember if they made it for Amiga. it was a sorta top view type game where your character walked around a base/city. and similar battles walking around in a mech. I would love to do a clone of that.

there's a shareware game out forever a go called battle force.  it was just like the table top game and sorta like the Battletech: Cresent Hawks Inception game.  I hade it on a Devware disk (y'all remember those?!?!?!)

btw, they did make it for the Amiga  :-D
