Title: Broken Audio connector Amiga 1000
Post by: David Wright on April 03, 2018, 02:43:30 PM
Yeah, moved the computer while it was attached to cable and speakers and I done broke something. Pushing down on it brings sound on the connector.

Are these available anywhere? The A500s look different. I did solder to the board from the top side but didn't improve. I do have a video connector on the end of board, looks the same, can I use that?

I remember when you could buy a bag of RCA connectors at Radio Shack. Alas! :(  Probably still available on sites like eBay, Amazon, Mouser, etc. Should be an easy solder job to remove and replace. Good luck!

Yea, maybe you can "borrow" that video connector or use something like this?

I would prefer to install new piece, so you don't have to solder and desolder multiple times and increase potential of damaging something. Good luck anyway!
