Of course it could, emulation is all a matter of writing software after all, but currently it doesn't. You should ask this question in the UAE wishlist section of the EAB.

I downloaded the source code for Winfellow about 900k in size. It is a lot simpler than I thought it would be. The chipset emulation is the most complex.

Is there some reason you want SAGA in an emulator instead of FPGA?

Of course it could... And as long as the hardware register specifications and timings exist, it would be easy to add... But why? What software are you going to run?

A fun project, but you'll find difficulty convincing any one to help you :-)

well just thought it might be a fun idea  ..i mean i know theres no software  for the aaa chipset  ..probably  little  for the saga  chipset  ..but  if it adds  the ability  to have a better workbench  screen  more  colours   etc etc  ..why  not  ..could  market as the what if?  board ...somebody  down the road  might workout how to add a accelerator  board  ..from little  things  grow  big ambitions??

SAGA is next after the FPGA accelerators are released. It's promised, not sure how long it will take to get working.

Wouldn't be better to follow a path that remains compatible with other software?

Again with this "promised" - _nothing_ is promised.
