I'll have to wait until my debts have been flattened again. Which will be in 2 months or so. Leaves me time to fiddle with the demo version and clear up some space on my desk for the C64.

I'm pretty sure I have a line on a nice 64c, after I get that squared away I'll be ordering it. I should have the parts to fix my 1802D next week, too... :)

I figure depending on the sounds I want, I can switch between the 64c and the C128... might even run SID2SID boards in both.

I can't wait... for me, this has been one of the most exciting computer related projects in years. I'll link to some pics once everything is up and running.

One thing I'm finding though, is that short of buying whole computers, SIDs are a little difficult to come by, which makes this process a lot more time consuming.

Glad to see other people hear are getting into it. I just got the email that confirmed that mine has shipped.

If I cant get my C128D up and running by then, I'll be hitting ebay for a C64. I hope I dont bid against one of you guys. :-P

Does anyone have any idea if the Prophet64 cartridge would work on the Commodore One? It has a C64 compatible cartridge slot?

Can you still buy a C1?

Hmm, I have four unused SID chips, sitting in a tube, just waiting for me to get around to building a synth for them.  All this talk of Prophet64's is getting me motivated again.  Hmm, haven't written any tunes for so long.

Good luck to all of you with the SID's: they can be cruel to their owners sometimes.  I look forward to hearing any music if people feel like posting something online.
Good good study, day day up!

Last time I checked the cart slot on the C1 is not supported yet.

AKAIK they are still available directly from Individual Computers.

@redrumloa,

OK Red, thanks for the info. thats good to know. Is the Commodore one still in development or did it stop after the whole C64 joystick thing went down?

OK, I got my Prophet64 cartridge yesterday!. I also bought a Commodore video to composite cable off ebay and my C128D is now working perfectly and looks fantastic on my 27" TV :-D

I just started playing around with drummer and Its pretty neat so far. I'm going to download the docs off their web site so I can get a little further.

I'm going to have to get used to controling stuff with just the keyboard. I have a joystick coming in the mail soon, so I'm hoping I can use that as well.

I'll post more soon.

C-One FPGA extender card prototype, alpha stage   12:45
The often-discussed FPGA extender for the C-One is entering alpha state now. With a little luck, it’s going to be shown at the Amiwest show in Sacramento on the 21st of this month. Here’s a first picture of the top layer of the board: http://c64upgra.de/top_layer.png

With the new card, the C-One can be expanded beyond insanity - read all technical details on the new C-One cores mailinglist:
