new2amiga: Well, if it is Ed Jeffries doing the repair, you should be up and running soon. He's very good. He fixed one of my 4000's, and I bought my WE-equipped 4000 from him.

yogisumo: I am sure that if anyone can fix your 4000, Ed could do it.  He managed to fix a weird problem affecting one of my 4000D's for years.... after the Amiga was on for any length of time, any text on screen would start to disintegrate..... He finally tracked down a problem with the 3640 card.... :confused:

Anyway, about the only potential problem, is that Ed has told me he's actually running low on some chips for repair work....
