Your Opinions sought, Big Bash 3 (UK)
« on: June 13, 2005, 11:58:55 PM »
Hello All.

I hope I am not boring you all too much, please bear with me.

As you know, Big Bash 3 is pencilled in to take place this year in Peterborough, UK on the 24th of September.

Given the relatively low numbers of Active Amiga users in the UK, we are looking at ways to make the whole event more attractive.

some ideas that have sprung up (and we would love your feedback please)

1: AmigaOne Build it event.
A bit like a conveyor belt process, We ask Stellar Dreams to attend (if they can) with AmigaOne boards in stock (if there are any available in late September) People come along buy a board, then move along and buy the necessary bits like hard drives, cases, CDroms etc from Companies like AmigaKit (or bring your own peripherals)
Then past that, we have A variety of seasoned Amiga usergroup volunteers who will help you build your machine at the event, install OS4 and you walk away with a machine that's ready to go.

2: An Amiga Medic station.
Got a problem with your Amiga? Be it classic or Next Gen, seasoned experts will try and resolve your computer hardware/software problem.

3: Bring and swap/buy area. Bring your old Amiga Software/Hardware. (within reason) and as long as it's in good working condition swap it/sell it/buy something else
(we have to look hard at how this could work, so any suggestions welcome)

Got any other ideas? Let us know, your input is very welcome on the above ideas or any others you may have.

If I didn't live "across the pond" the list (alone) of proposed activities would ensure my attendance.
