Title: BeOS 5.0 Pro.
Post by: trekiej on April 29, 2014, 12:21:29 AM
Hello.
Are there any Beos users here?
I used to use a Voodoo 3 3000 with Quake II a while back. It ran great.
I wanted to know if there are any other 3d capable cards for Beos.
I think voodoo might have been the exception with it drivers.
Thanks.

The last I ran BeOS 5.x was with a dual Celeron system, also using the same VooDoo as you. I know there were a lot of drivers released for NVIDIA cards and the like since the old 5.x days, though it's been a while since I looked to see what the last cards supported by 5.x were.

Are you aware of YellowTab and more recently, Haiku?

Late 90s for me if I remember correctly. With a Cirrus Logic display card?
 Are you actually using it?

xdelusion: I have heard of yellowtab, but not for sure what exactly happened to them.
Haiku is my other os for all things beos.
I tried fg4 mx 440 but the drivers did not work.
gertsy: I have not tried cirrus logic.
some one is suppose to be porting gallium to haiku.
I did have haiku on a quad core amd cpu with a gigabyte mobo.
It did run good.
