Yes, indeed it has. Yesterday, I saw City's last game of the season against Accrington Stanley. We won 3-2, thanks to goals from Copps, Sean Canham and Flacky, but we missed out on the promotion play-offs by a single point. So now we have to spend another season in the non-league wilderness. So i am very disappointed, to say the least. At the end of the game, after the player of the year awards had been made, most of the fans spilled onto the pitch to congratulate the players on a wonderful season. And it had to happen on the day that Plymouth Argyle got promoted to division 1 as division 2 champions! What a bitter pill to swallow!
Oh well, there's another 5 weeks to go until our next game, on Sunday 30th May against the 1994 world cup-winning Brazil side, to celebrate our centenary.
Hopefully this time next year, I'll be celebrating a championship win and a return to division 3.
KEEP THE FAITH! :-)
