Hello from Ireland
« on: April 18, 2004, 03:40:25 PM »
Just thought I'd stop by and say hello. I'm in Dublin at a coach station, waiting for the coach to Cork. First visit to Ireland, and I'm impressed. Dublin is really beautiful in places, and the people are genuinely friendly - especially considering it's a capital, and you expect people to be gruff like in London.
Anyway, better sign off now, looking forward to a few relaxing days

Nice,
Did you go to the GPO or trinity?
(or even to the brewery, for free `tasters`),
Or perhaps run three times (anticlockwise) around a church?

Even nicer if you had a laptop with satellite link to post here...

We went past GPO a few times, but alas didn't start any uprisings :-). Didn't really have a lot of time to do much else - aside from visiting a good few pubs. This is the problem with travelling with other people [went with three friends - one of whom was celebrating 25th birthday, another whose family are Irish]. I would have liked to have visited the James Joyce centre for example, but we left Dublin 24 hours after arriving.

I did walk widdershins round a couple of churches, but not three times...
