I keep writing my representatives, and urging others to do the same. .

Writing your "representatives" does nothing...... They're not in office, for you, but for personal gain. Fact of life.

Representation is a civic duty, required by *ALL* citizens and not a political ambition or career. Washington and the rest, had it right. Current "politicians" (I use the term, in loathing), well, they've lost their way.....

A. The BBC doesn't joke!

The BBC *IS* a joke, just like FOX "News" and CNN. Any media outlet in our lifetimes is rife with "political agenda". The First Amendment died a long time ago.....

B. This has been coming for awhile and has been in the news for about a week here in the US.

"Awhile" means since, at least, the 1950's. Don't think, for once second, that any of this is "recent."

C. WTF is happening to the UK?

The same thing that's happening in Egypt, Greece, America and many other parts of the World.

Except for Canada. Last I heard, Doug and Bob McKenzie were running for Prime Minister there.

And you really think any of that matters? The American Government let its citizens know back in 2000, they don't give two sh!ts what the civilian population cares about or thinks. G Dubya bought is way into office and not a single person stood against it. There was no "public outcry", there was no demand for a "recount". The sheep just kept watching television.
 

When I speak of what's happening the US to people I know they tell me I'm full of $h*t and that it would never happen. It already has. They're building FEMA camps at an unprecidented rate! I really don't even dare describe who is doing it in the post - but it's obvious. B.&H.C. and G.S.!

You'd be surprised how many splinter cells are out there, already prepping to fight against the American Government and their military, in the event of civil war. Trust me, when I say that Congress has already declared the civilian population as "enemies of the state." When Congress decides do abolish the Second Amendment, it's all over......

I would take it all the way back to LBJ myself.  I think the trend started back then and is just now getting into full swing.

Hence, why I said the 1950's. Korea was the last effort of America to "do the right thing" when it comes to Global Conflict.

Agreed...  A lot of peeps rag on G Dubya (with  good reason)....  but in my opinion it was this guy that really started  all the carnage: George H. W. Bush.

One thing I should  point out. There *WAS* a 3rd party that agreed to a re-count, started by  Jesse Jackson, but was shot down by the Supreme Court. Didn't require Federal money, either. It was all paid for, by private parties. Still, the Supreme Court said no, the count stood.

Ironically, the majority of the SC, at the time, were people either placed there by good ol Herb Bush or by Regan.

Dubya  was just in there, for two reasons: 1) to finish what Daddy couldn't,  since he didn't get a second term and 2) 'cos Hussein took a shot at  Daddy, but failed.

According to Blackheath the banks included Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and a few others. Because of this investigation, many banker CEOs have been resigning and many even fleeing their homes.

Yeah, and the American Government bailed out the automotive industry and the banking industry at a cost of almost a trillion dollars of US taxpayer's money, *WITHOUT* the consent of the people. What's your point? Yes, the majority of the banks have started paying back their "loans", but how do you think they did it?

By increasing loan percentages, mortgage interests and simple banking costs. You *PAY* to give these "businesses" your money, to spend at *THEIR* leisure.

Lemme explain to you how the "banking system" works. You get paid by your job, you take your paycheck to the bank. The bank then puts you on a "credit system", using your money, to make more, for themselves. When their investments fail, you're *STILL* on a credit system and they lose money. Do you really think the money they lose comes out of their own pockets? No, they increase charges, percentages and interests to make up for it.

In addition the CIA and the FBI are now told to flag people who transact solely in cash as "potential terrorists", 'cos only a "terrorist" uses cash....

Fact of the matter is, *EVERY* Government in the world does what's in *THEIR* best interests, not the interests of the people. US representatives don't pay for their own campaigns. Businesses and wealthy investors give them money, in return for "favors" from the politicians. Favors that consist of things like, turning the other cheek when a business conducts unethical, business practices. *THAT* is how *EVERY* Government works.

Face the facts, politicians are the *WORST* kind of criminal. They're rarely held accountable and even more rare, prosecuted...... :madashell:
