Everyone knows... Everyone is accepting.

Gotta have there toys at any cost I guess.
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

Worst. Idea. Ever.

Same tired old mantra, "we need it because advances in technology... terrorism... etc."

Rinse and repeat.

Perhaps all the ISPs should just provide their user's current activity data "realtime" to GCHQ for a day or so to illustrate what should be obvious to anybody but those cretinous morons.

What do you mean your systems are all suddenly unreachable?

They have been trying to pull this stunt here in the U.S. too. So far it has failed, but they keep trying. I keep writing my representatives, and urging others to do the same. But not enough people seem to get this!
The U.K. really scares me. Personal liberty seems to be going down the tube. If it happens in one place, it make it easier for the extremists everywhere.

Big Brother at its finest. I seriously think various governments around the world, are enticing revolution, so they can gain totalitarian control over their "subjects."

Quoth Admiral Adama:

"There's a reason you separate the military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state; the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."

I keep writing my representatives, and urging others to do the same. .

Writing your "representatives" does nothing...... They're not in office, for you, but for personal gain. Fact of life.

Representation is a civic duty, required by *ALL* citizens and not a political ambition or career. Washington and the rest, had it right. Current "politicians" (I use the term, in loathing), well, they've lost their way.....

I would be very annoyed by this decision by our simple politicians and our MP's (Muppet Parliament, sorry Kermit & friends), seems that we are a free country, we seem to be getting like the far east dictatorship countries.

OR

Maybe it's a joke, it was April 1st

The government here in Canada tried to push that through here too. There was a huge stink raised by the people and the issue was 'tabled'... probably until they think no one is looking... and they will try to sneak it through again.

I sincerely hope so.......

A. The BBC doesn't joke!
B. This has been coming for awhile and has been in the news for about a week here in the US.
C. WTF is happening to the UK?
D. We in the states have already been put under executive order the NDAA and Marshall Law. Look it up! Scary! http://www.infowars.com/obama-signs-martial-law-bill-ndaa-now-law/

When I speak of what's happening the US to people I know they tell me I'm full of $h*t and that it would never happen. It already has. They're building FEMA camps at an unprecidented rate! I really don't even dare describe who is doing it in the post - but it's obvious. B.&H.C. and G.S.!
