A.D.A. logo gallery!
« on: March 03, 2003, 12:06:31 PM »
Do you remember all those lovely logos that used to be in Amiga productions?

A lot of them were beautiful, showing great skill and talent from pixellers, pushing so much in so little colors and space.

Well, today, we started something new on A.D.A., a logo gallery of the best logos ever painted.

Just click on "logos" in the menu and be amazed at the first 18 logos appearing on A.D.A.

This little gallery will be updated a lot in future, together with a lot of cool demos that we still have to add.

If you have any comments on the new gallery, please mail them or write it in the guestbook.

I'd love to know how they make such excellent logos.

IE: What software, where they got their inspiration..

Hoya!

I just love logos too! :-D
Given the fact that back in these times Photogenics, ImageFX etc did not exist, it was truly awesome to see such shiny productions!
This prove, if it was needed, that Amigans are brilliant artists!

/me wishes he could draw such masterpieces...
I like to fiddle around with PPaint and some TTF fonts to create logos but that is not as great as those...

As for the proggies used back then... Well, apart from Deluxe Paint which was THE standard, I do not think they used many others paint package...
I guess that they wrote the manipulation packages they needed themselves. :-)

I'd hazard a guess at DPaint + skill + patience + time. You could do a lot with that combination.

Being an oldschool scener myself,  the answer is Dpaint + skills  :-)

although som gfx artist switched to PPaint when it hit the street.  DPaint was the most used gfx program for the time (1990-1994).

btw: i used to be in Polka Brothers, if anyone care..

Hmm...this is interesting. What was your handle (nick)?

Polka brothers is still one of my favourite teams of all time.

I went under the nick/handle SCA , so i properly had nothing to do with your favorite PB productions (normally being Fridag at Eight and gevalia).

But i did however make "Bouble Trouble", and the invitation intro's for The Party 94 and The Party 95.

None of my work is on A.D.A though :-(

Those party invitations do ring a bell. I'll check them out.

By the way, it is not because it isn't there yet, that it will never appear on A.D.A. I've got tons of demos still to add  ;-)

:-)
well, if it comes on there someday, i'll be real happy,  as i don't have the files anymore my self  ...

btw: in the Demo section,  both "Friday at eight" and "Gevalia", is mentioned as being OCS demos.  that is not entirely true.   as they are both AGA demos with a minimum reqiurement of a Standard A1200  ...

just thought i would mention it.  ;-)
